WGN Transmitter Engineer Opening

WGM-AM 720 has an opening for a broadcast engineer with RF skills....

If my fossilated brain recalls correctly, it's 60 amps into the short tower at 50kw! Uf dah!

At the current #1 Arbitron rated station in Chicago, I'd have to agree with that being a pretty sweet gig.

(It would be irregardless of the ratings, from a historical point of view.)

Ironically, one of his first duties would have been to turn off the transmitter :)

(I don't recall if anyone posted about that maintenance work in Chicago a week or two ago, where WGN, WSCR, and WBBM were all off the air for a couple of hours. Unfortunately, atmospherics stank, wiping out a golden opportunity for West Coast DX.)
