Scopes

So... It's been a while since I've had to really read scopes that I've forgotten a lot of what I learned. (Hey, I spent 4 years not having to deal with shading cameras, spot ingest, etc.)

Anyone have a good refresher somewhere online? I can (mostly) get away with shading cameras by eye, however, I'm doing more-and-more work in the room where live shots are tuned in, uplinks are sent to network(!), and commercials/promos/PSAs are ingested, so it would be a good idea to re-learn some of it.

Tektronix is a good source for measurement tutorials: here.

Agreed 100%. If you dig around Tek's site, you can even find all sorts of manuals from older scopes that explain in excruciating detail what every knob does and why you would turn it and what it would do to the screen and .... more than you ever wanted to know, really.
