FM Table of Allotments?

Postby w9wi » Mon Dec 26, 2011 10:45 am

Anyone know where I can find a copy online?

The copy in 73.202 on the GPO website (http://edocket.access.gpo.gov/cfr_2009/octqtr/47cfr73.203.htm) is incomplete. (it seems to contain only *amendments* over the past few years, and lists no allotments whatsoever in Delaware and DC, among other places.) This incomplete copy seems to be linked on just about every other place I'd think to look. (Hallikanen (sp), various communications law sites, etc.) Going directly to the GPO & selecting any version seems to still return the incomplete copy.

I'm probably missing something stupid here...

The GPO site is being phased out. To get complete text of 47CFR you need to use the FDsys site, but you need to know which revision of CFR47 you want. The latest version with the parts of interest to broadcasters is 2010:

Scott Fybush answered my question elsewhere -- 73.202 no longer contains a complete list of allotments. (if I'd read paragraph (a) I'd have known that..) It now contains only unused allotments, it refers you to CDBS for the occupied channels.

Wow! I had no idea the GPO site was being phased out. This is great information.

By the way, the 2011 version of 47CFR is now up on the FDsys site.

As for rules, http://www.hallikainen.com/FccRules/ is a good resource. Harold keeps it up-to-date and you can dig back through the rules at previous points in time as well.
