The Burnout has affected all the stations on the master antenna. The burnout has also caused a burn in the main power divider on the tower.
For the time being, the FM combiner is currently being fed into one of the bays of the two bay ERI via patch panel. (Temporarily the combiner was feeding the Alford antenna, but has since switched back to the main.)
Stations are operating at 50% TPO until the power divider and feedline are replaced. Word is, several stations will be operating from 4 times square until the RF gear is replaced.
This does not affect 95.5 (WPLJ), 97.1 (WQHT) and 101.1 (WCBS-FM),as they transmit from a seperate master antenna on the tower. However they will have to shut down for RFR safety during the antenna repairs.
