Volvo Adds HD Radio For Fall 2008

Volvo Cars of North America, LLC will offer HD Radio technology on almost all of its models starting in the fall of 2008. According to the announcement, which was made at the Boston International Auto Show, the automotive manufacturer will provide Volvo owners with factory-installed HD Radio receivers as standard and optional equipment.
As previously reported by R&R in September, Ford Motor Co. was the first automaker to make the audio technology available to consumers across multiple product lines. And, in January, BMW announced that HD Radio receivers would be an option for car buyers across its 2007 product line. Ford?s Jaguar and Hyundai also features HD Radio systems on specific 2008 models.
Dirk Bott, VP of brand, business and product for Volvo Cars of North America, LLC says that ?adding HD Radio capability to our S40 T5, V50 T5, C30, C70, S80, V70, XC70 and XC90 models truly makes our audio systems state of the art, giving Volvo drivers an even more enjoyable driving experience."
