Need help,to broadcast a radio station through satellite

Postby gruka » Fri Jul 16, 2010 2:40 pm

My boss runs a local radio station in my country and recently in my country our television station has gone on a satellite,so he has asked me to find out what equipment we may need to buy inorder for us too to broadcast through the same satellite so that who ever too locks that National Tv station on satellite may also be able to listen to our private radio station when one presses audio on the remote of the receiver , My question is may someone guide us through to what we may need to purchase inorder for this to work. Thank you

Best bet would be to start with a phone call to the television satellite distributor. Many of these groups have proprietary hardware/firmware to work with their transponders. The equipment to uplink could vary. You'll need a satellite capable of transmitting or a method of getting audio to the uplink, like T1, and then the gear to either drive the uplink or audio link.
