Digital Signals Processing - In networking

Postby ashleysmithd » Sat Oct 22, 2011 3:43 pm

Hi,

I am currently producing a short presentation on digital signals processing as part of my engineering degree. However as the presentation needs to be pathway specific, I have to base mine around computers.

As there are two presentations, I have chosen DSP in networking as the first and error detection and correction as the second. However I'm a little stumped for information when it comes to DSP within routers and switches.

I have had a look, and have found a few useful bits and pieces, but can anyone here please recommend some more information sources about DSP within devices such as switches and routers?

Thanks.

I think you may need to be a bit more clear about what you mean by "routers and switches". I have a number of vastly different devices around my facility that are "routers" or "switches".

Ah it's ok I've decided to change my presentation to video ADC's, there's a lot more information out there from what I've found. Thanks anyway.
